2011년 대한민국 민통선 예술제 야외설치 미술 기획 안 전시명 : 2011년 민통선 예술제 국제 야외 미술전 주 최 : 민통선 예술제 조직위원회 장 소 : 석장리 미술관 야외전시장 전시기간 : 2011. 06.05 – 07.05 장 르 : 야외설치미술 (복합매체) , 드로잉 깃발전 작 가 : 야외설치미술 15명, 드로잉 깃발전 25명 합40명 참여국 : 한국, 미국, 중국, 일본, 케나다, 영국, 프랑스 ( 추가 될 수 있슴) 작품설치기간 : 2011. 06. 03 ~ 04 전시오픈 : 2011. 06. 05 전시주제 전방 前方 ( 앞쪽. 일선. 포워드, 앞줄경기자, 아방가르드, 전위대 ) 전쟁, 긴장, 대립, 갈등, 분쟁, 충돌 등 불안한 물리적 상황과 또는 그에 따르는 심리적 상황을 적극적으로 이해하고 해결하기 위한 태도로서의 ‘위치’, 즉 , 앞선 의식의 상태, 실천적 의식의 상태로서의 지점. 우리는 이와 같은 지점에서 고찰되는 평화에 대한 실천적 모색을 실제적 대립의 전방 (DMZ) 에서 실제적 해결을 위한 ‘전방의식’ 이 강화되어지고 또한 표출되고 소통 되어지는 전방의장을 만들고자 한다. * 전시 외 프로그램 - 군인들과 함께하는 예술제 오프닝 공연 관람 - 한국의 남, 북 분단 현장 ( D M Z ) 방문. 최전방 군부대 방문. 군부대 식사체험. - 민통선예술제에 대하여 - 민통선(민간인 통제선) 예술제는 대한민국 최북단 연천군에 소재하는 석장리 미술관을 중심으로 1999년부터 이어온 예술제이다. 석장리 미술관은 민통선으로부터 후방 1km에 위치하는 한국의 최전방 미술관이다. 아직까지 해체되지 못한 세계유일의 이대올로기적 갈등의 시대적 산물인 분단의 철책선 (경계선) 은 우리 한민족이 극복해야 할 숙명적 멍에와도 같은 것으로 존재하고 있다. 20세기, 이념에 따른 분열의 격 량 속에 형성된 물리적인 경계는 시대의 흐름 속에 대부분 해체 되었으나 유일하게 한반도는 그 흐름선상에서 빗겨 나있는 것이다. 한반도의 경계와 경계 (남한에 위치한 남방한계선과 북한에 위치한 북방한계선) 사이에는 DMZ ( Demilitarized Zone비무장지대) 이 존재한다. DMZ은 긴장의 상징 같은 구역이나 아이러니하게도 인간의 발길이 닺지 않아 지극히 평화로운 지상의 낙원 같은 자연의 보고 이기도 하다. 이 아이러니한 상황을 어떻게 해석해야 할 것인가? 이는 현대인류가 자연과의 어떠한 상관관계에 놓여져 있는가? 라는 또 다른 질문까지도 유도 되어 진다. 민통선 예술제는 여타의 예술제와는 확연히 다른 특징을 지니고 있는데 그 이유는 남한과 북한이 군사적으로 서로 대치하고 있는 경계지역에 인접해 있는 지역적 환경으로부터 연유한다. 비 개발적 환경과 군사작전지역으로, 한반도의 분단 현실을 여실히 증명하는 지역정체성을 민통선예술제를 통해 담보해내고 있는 것이다. 이와 같은 지역적 환경 안에서 분단의 현실로 파생된 ‘주제어’들을 가지고 국,내외 유명한 예술가들이 해마다 다양한 장르의 예술로 소통의장을 만들어 오고 있다. 이념, 민족, 계층, 종교, 전쟁등 인류는 끝없는 갈등 속에서 역사를 기록해왔으며 이는 오늘날에도 동일하게 존속 되어지고 있다. 청산되지 못하고 지속되고 있는 이데올로기적 갈등의 역사적인 장, 박제된듯하지만 활화산의 생명을 지니고 있는, 그래서 긴장하지 않을 수 없는 대립과 갈등의 극단적 표상 같은 DMZ 을 앞에 두고, 세계의 여러 예술가들과 함께 인류공통의 분모를 가지고 다양한 의식이 반영된 시각이미지의 작업을 통해 ‘인류의 평화’ 라는 발전적 모색의 담론을 이끌어내는 문화적 소통의장을 만들어 내고자 한다. 공지사항 * 야외설치미술 부분 - 야외 설치작품의 형식은 자유입니다. 크기, 재료 등등. - 작품 설치는 작가가 직접 관장합니다. - 작품철수는 작가의 의뢰에 따라 주최 측에서 철수할 수 있습니다. * 야외설치 드로잉 깃발전 부분 - 야외 설치 드로잉깃발전의 작품은 작가가 작품을 제작하여 E-MAIL 로 보내면 주체 측에서 다운 받아 백색 천에 실사 출력하여 전시하게 됩니다 - 야외 설치 드로잉 깃발전의 전시될 작품크기는 가로120cm X 세로200cm 입니다. - 작품 설치 및 철수는 주최 측에서 관장합니다. * 지원부분 - 참여가 결정된 작가에게는 초대장을 발송합니다. - 야외설치미술부분 참여 작가는 2박3일간 미술관 내에서 숙박 및 식사를 제공합니다. - 한국 입국하는 외국작가를 공항에서 픽업하여 미술관 이동을 지원합니다. - 전시 도록 및 실사 출력한 작품 이미지를 국내,외 각국의 참여 작가 주소지로 발송 합니다. - 참여작가에게 기념품을 전달합니다. - 전시홍보를 지원합니다. - 기타 필요한 제원은 본인부담입니다. * 본 전시에 초대된 참여 작가는 아래 사항을 보내주시길 바랍니다. 자료내용 1. 국 적 : 영문 2. 작가명 : 영문 (한국인은 한글포함) 3. 프로필 : 영문 7줄 이내 (한국인은 한글포함) 4. 도록이 배달될 주소. 자료 보내주실 멜 주소 : wnaks9 hanmail.net ■ 문의 사항 (문의처-차주만 (한국) 핸드폰 : 011 - 675 - 6460 . 멜wnaks9@hanmail.net) *석장리 미술관 및 민통선 예술제에 대한 소개 이곳에 가시면 자세한 것을 볼 수 있습니다. 석장리 미술관http://www.sj-gallery.com/ A Proposal for the Outdoor Installation Art Exhibition at 2011 Korean DMZ Art Festival Exhibition Title: International Outdoor Art Exhibition of 2011 DMZ Art Festival Host: DMZ Art Festival Organizing Committee Exhibition Place: Outdoor Exhibition Gallery at Seokjang-ri Art Museum Exhibition Date: 06/05/2011 ~ 07/05/2011 Field: Outdoor Installation Art (Complex Media), Drawing Flags Participating Artists: 15 for Outdoor Installation Arts, 25 for Drawing Flags, total 40 Participating Nationals: Korea, USA, China, Japan, Canada, England, France (planning) Installing & Preparation: 06/03/2011 ~ 06/04/2011 Exhibition Open: 06/05/2011 Exhibition Theme Forward (front side, frontier line, forward, front player, avant-garde, advance guard) ‘Position’ as attitude that understands and solves the following situations positively: physical situations such as war, tension, confrontation, conflict, dispute, and collision and psychological situations that are caused from the physical situations. That is a point of status with advanced consciousness and practical consciousness. We would like to create a frontier area that is expressed and communicated. This is our practical effort toward peace that is considered at this place and strengthened consciousness of a front line that will solve real problems in the conflict of DMZ. Experiencing military-camp meal. - About the DMZ Art Festival – DMZ (or Demilitarized Zone) Art Festival has been started mainly with Seokjang-Ri Art Museum’s initiative since 1999. The Art Museum is located in Yeonchen-Gun, the northernmost part in the Republic of Korea. It is the forefront museum which is located in 1 km away from DMZ. The iron fence (or the border line) of division is an epochal product from the unique conflict that has not been solved yet in the world. This exists as a fatalistic yoke that Korean must overcome. The physical boundaries that were formed in the violence of division that comes from different ideologies in the 20th century have been mostly deconstructed. But the Korean peninsular is uniquely misplaced from the main stream. There exists DMZ (or Demilitarized Zone) between two boundaries in the Korean Peninsula (the 38th parallel north and the 38th parallel south). DMZ is a symbolic place of tension but it is also a natural treasure due to its un-reached location from human steps. From this some questions are raised: How can we interpret this kind of ironic situation? What is the relationship between the nature and the modern human race? DMZ Art Festival has definitely different special feature from other Art Festivals. That is for the local environment which is located in the boundary area that South Korean military and North Korean military are adjacent to each other. This unique regional identity has been expressed at the DMZ Art Festival: it has been evidenced of the current situation in the Korean Peninsula as a non-developmental environment and a military operation area. With ‘themes’ derived from the reality in the environmental division, many famous domestic and international artists create a communicational place through their arts in various genre every year. Human race has recorded history in its endless conflicts such as ideology, race, class, religion, war, and so on and has continued the same. DMZ represents a historical chapter of ideological conflict that exists without liquidation. DMZ has a life of an active volcano but is looked still and stuffed. DMZ is an extreme symbol of conflict and of confrontation that requires tension. In front of this DMZ world artists create visual image works together that reflect various awareness and perspectives with a common denominator of human race. Artists want to create a cultural communication place that may lead to a developmental discussion on ‘peace of human race.’ Announcement * Outdoor Installation Art Field - The format of the Outdoor Installation Aart is free. (size, material and so on.) - Artist must charge in his/her own art installation. - Removal of art work can be done via organizing host with an artist’s request. * Outdoor Installation Drawing Flags Field - Please email your Outdoor Installation Drawing Flag work so that organizing host can download and print your work on white clothe and exhibit it. - Size for Outdoor Installation Drawing Flag is 120 cm (width) X 200 cm (length). - Installation and removal of the art work can be done by organizing host. * Supporting Service - Invitation to the artist who is confirmed to participate in will be sent. - Participating artist in Outdoor Installation Art field will be offered three days and two nights of lodging and meal accommodation in the museum. - Airport pick-up is available to foreign artist who enters through Korean airport to the museum. - Exhibition catalog and actual printed art work will be sent to the address of the participating artists. - Public relation for the exhibition is supported. - Other necessary expense are covered by artist’s own. * IF you are invited to participate in the exhibition, please send the following information to us.
